RAB Blade-Plate

With on experience of over 20 years and a casuisty of more than 2500 cases, the RAB plate has showed his capacity to enable an immediate load on the trochanteric fractures, whatever their type and anatomical pathological complexity. It is the method of choice for the treatment of the Unstable Petrochanteric fractures and Persubtrochanteric fractures.

Features:

  • The RAB plate is an assembly of two pieces that form a monoblock nail-plate, and a rod that strengthens the former. The rod serves to transmit the majority of the weight load to the external cortical of the femur, behaving as an artificial calcar from a biomechanical point of view
  • This type of osteosynthes will able to support the high forces on the hip in the most unfavourable biomechanical conditions: without femoral calcar and without contact between fragments (Immediate Weight Bearing)
  • The goal is to return the older patients to their own environment under the best possible conditions, within the shortest period of time, enabling to take care of themselves
